Personally, I love mushrooms (cooked not raw) on toast, maybe with some bacon, on a steak and definitely in a stir-fry or in a stroganoff…..much to the displeasure of one of my children (who shall remain nameless).

Which leads me to some small pieces I made before last Saturday’s market….Mushrooms.

This little mushroom was just about to be clear glazed and put back into the kiln. I didn’t get a chance to take some photos before the market (which I intended to do) and now don’t have any left to show you.

I hoping to get some more made tomorrow which should be ready for the December markets and a couple for me… I love the texture of them.

Westie woes…..

The BrisStyle City Hall market Saturday was lovely, lots of fantastic stalls and shoppers. Sunday was all preplanned I was going to hit the studio and get some new pieces made before the last few markets of the year……until on taking my two dogs outside, I couldn’t help but notice that little Bonnie wasn’t herself. Wobbly, trouble standing and drowsey looking. We checked her over and couldn’t find anything. I was straight onto the Vet and took her down immediately.

Here’s a photo of her recently, prior to the tick and not long after a bath.

It took the Vet about 1 minute to find the TICK (it was on her lip, I didn’t check there). My heart sunk. (Bonnie is almost 11 months old) normally a vibrant little bundle of energy. The Vet removed the tick, gave her a sedative and anti-serum. Then after she feel asleep in my arms took her away to recovery.

We were fortunate enough to collect her late Monday afternoon and she’s home on full rest for the next Month!  Try telling that to a Westie.

Well, it’s been lots of cuddles and pats and she’s already trying it on and wanting to run…Oh, I’m not looking forward to containing her.
