Beat the Election Day blues……

Well, the place to go is:   The Whale Mall, Queensland Museum

                    DATE     Saturday 7 September 2013 TIME      9am- 3pm

Alongside the wares of BrisStyle artisans who live, craft, stitch and dye by the mantra of reduce, reuse and recycle, the BrisStyle Eco Bazaar will have a decidedly Bedouin feel with belly dancers, middle eastern food and music to get everyone shimmying to the Eco beat.

Every handmade item for sale must meet BrisStyle’s strict eco-criteria, guaranteeing ethical shoppers will purchase unique and exquisitely made creations without putting a strain on their wallets or our earth’s precious resources.  There will also be a selection of vintage, collectibles and crafty de-stash items to add to the bazaar like atmosphere.

Back by popular demand will be hands on Eco Workshops in the Queensland Museum’s new Invent-ory, where participants will be able to explore their creative sides and “make and take” Eco items as well as learn newfound skills.

So come along and shop ethically and see first-hand why these markets are renowned for being Brisbane’s greenest destination for everything handmade with an Eco edge.

Hope to see you there!

I’ve just loaded a bisque firing. This should be finished firing at around 11am tomorrow and ready to open Monday morning.

Whilst that’s going I’m busy fussing over pieces for ‘Passage’ in October. They are drying slowly and I can’t wait to be able to work the surfaces and get them fired.

Tomorrow I will have to get onto some new pieces that have been niggling to be made. It’s been a beautiful day in Brisbane today and I’m hoping for a similar one tomorrow.

Later next week I’ll have the finished cups from the bisque to show.

Have a great weekend.
